Configuring SNMP is usually a relativity mundane process, or at least I thought so until I attempted to do so on a FWSM module in a Catalyst 6500. I came to find out that the typical OIDs for CPU, Memory and Total Connections are not the same as on the ASA/PIX devices. After much digging and use of google.com, I found the following OIDs that work on the FWSM. This is with FWSM 3.3 software, but should also work on FWSM 2.3.

CPU % – 5 Sec: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.3.1
CPU % – 1 Min: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.4.1
CPU % – 5 Min: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.1
Memory Free: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.5.1
Total Connections: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.147.1.2.2.2.1.5.40.6
Interface 1 Oct In/sec: 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.1
Interface 1 Oct Out/sec: 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.1
Interface 2 Oct In/sec: 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.2
Interface 2 Oct Out/sec: 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.2

(For the interface Octets, just change the value in the OID to reflect the interface number).

I know that there are some more and I will update this post as I find them. If you know of any that I am missing please send me an email of post in the comments and I will add them.
